The Union in Kepak is launching a comprehensive survey to ask questions about certain issues workers are facing. 

We are also calling on all workers in Kepak who fill in our survey to attend a general meeting in the Fermoy Youth Community Center on 08/02/2025 from 2:30 – 4:30pm to discuss the issues and how we can act on them.

Any increase in pay for Kepak workers is a win for the North Cork community where they all live and spend their money.

Estamos também convidando todos os Trabalhadores da Kepak que responderem o questionário para participar da Reunião Geral, na Fermoy Youth Community Center, no dia 08/02/2025 a partir das 14:30 às 16:30 para discutirmos sobre as questões levantadas, e como podemos agir sobre elas.

As we enter the New Year, we want to make all of the workers in Abtran aware that they are working for a highly profitable employer. 

This union has seen data from the purchase order histories of multiple state bodies such as the Road Safety Authority, the Health Service Executive, Revenue (Local Property Tax), National Transport Authority, Pobal, Teaching Council and others.

For the interest of the public, all union members and all workers in Abtran, here is what Abtran made from each contract. As not all quarterly publications were available, the figures presented below are below what Abtran is making and are even higher when adding the quarterly payments that are not available.

HSE 2022-2024: 12m+

Local Property Tax 2014-2020: 14.3m 

Local Property Tax 2023: 2.7m 

National Transport Authority 2024: 9.1m (not including Q4, so in excess of 10m)

Electric Ireland: 10m per year

Pobal 2022-2024: 10m+

Teaching Council: Since 2016, approximately 800k per quarter (250k per month)

Road Safety Authority 2019-2023: 22,901,191  

The Independent Workers Union demands that the workers in Abtran are paid a bigger share of the super profits that Abtran is generating and will continue the fight for better pay and conditions into 2025 and beyond.
